Lactoferrin is a highly sensitive and specific marker for determining active inflammation in the intestine.

The ScheBo® • Lactoferrin Smart™ stool test is a sandwich ELISA with two monoclonal antibodies that recognize lactoferrin in a highly specific manner. The following applies to the detection of lactoferrin in stool samples:
